AMAKUSA-ITALIAN CUISINE CRAFTED
FROM CHOICE LOCAL INGREDIENTS
Amakusa is home to one of the finest selections of ingredients in all of Kyushu. Amakusa cuisine includes not only fresh seafood from the Ariake and Shiranui Seas, but also boasts homegrown varieties of meats, like the rare Amakusa Daio Chicken and wonderful Bainiku Pork. Our chef matches these hyperlocal ingredients with carefully selected organic vegetables from around Kumamoto Prefecture to create truly stunning Amakusa-Italian dishes for guests to enjoy at our Festa del Mare restaurant overlooking the sea.
A STATIONARY VOYAGE THROUGH SEA AND SKY
Tenku no Fune was designed by renowned architect Hiroyuki Misawa, known for his work on the Tenshi no Hashigo Hotel and Umihotaru Shopping Mall on the Sea. The hotel is designed to appear like a cruise ship sailing the seas and skies of Amakusa. The design emphasizes openness and freedom while incorporating natural touches throughout the hotel, from guest rooms to the restaurant, pool, stairs, and hallways, so that our guests can experience the finest in comfort and relaxation.
